We are in love with this fun wedding video trailer from Lesley and Matt’s wedding at The Newberry Library last September.  Take notice of the beautiful floral from Fleur and custom wedding cake from Amy Beck Cake Design. A special thanks to our friends Scott and Barb from Chicago Cinematic Weddings for putting this together.  We really love it!  Lesley and Matt’s wedding was also featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs.  Check it out to see some of the stunning images from Jennifer Kathryn Photography.

Wedding Industry Food Drive!

We are so excited to announce that we have teamed up with the ladies from SQN Events and Engaging Events by Ali to have a Wedding Industry Food Drive for the Greater Chicago Food Depository.  As you have likely heard, food banks all over the country are under extreme pressure this year as the economy has slowed donations and driven up the numbers of families looking for help.  The need in Chicago is greater than ever and it’s time to help raise awareness and collect food for those in need.

As an industry, wedding professionals bring joy to so many people’s lives all year around. We are asking everyone to continue the joy by participating in our Wedding Industry Food Drive December 15th through December 18th.  You can bring your non perishable food items to one of the following locations (hours and addresses listed below) Bella Bianca, Bleeding Heart Bakery, Fleur, The Left Bank Jewelry & Shoes, Magnificent Milestones and Smitten Boutique. Each store is offering a discount for any one who brings in five or more non perishable food items (amount differs at each location but expect 10% – 15% off). We are so grateful to each of our drop off locations for opening their doors and our hearts to this extremely worthy cause. Beth, Ali and I will be collecting the food on Monday the 19th and taking it directly to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

I’d also like to give a special thanks to Peggy from Erickson Designs for putting together this beautiful poster in a flash!

The eleven eleven WEDDING Giveaway, featured on TV and in Newspaper

We are so proud of the work we have done with the eleven eleven WEDDING Giveaway.  The event is extremely near and dear to our hearts since we created it in 2010.  This year’s exceptional event took place yesterday at The Chicago History Museum and was featured on the ABC 7  News 6:00 pm broadcast and in the Chicago Sun Times.

Working with the winners, Amy and Howard, was a truly exceptional experience.  They are the kind of people you just want to be around all of the time, infectious, generous, gracious, funny, kind (I could go on and on). It was such a pleasure to introduce them to each of the sponsors and work with them throughout the planning process.

It is important to note that none of this would be possible without the constant support from the vendors in our community. We are so blessed to work with these amazing people who give of their time, talents and resources so willingly and with such grace. We are truly humbled by the experience and thank you simply does not seem to be “big enough” but we hope it will do.

Keep an eye out for some sneak peak pictures from Amanda Hein Photography.

The eleven eleven WEDDING Giveaway for 2012 will be announced sometime in February so please check back often and send in those applications, as you can see,  dream weddings really can come true!

You can find all of our sponsors listed below.  We thank them all, from the bottom of our hearts.

Urban Romantic June Wedding

I was so excited when Angie contacted us to help with her June wedding at W Chicago City Center!  I was her cousin’s wedding planner several years ago and so honored that she came straight to us once she was engaged!

We had the opportunity to work with some new people on this wedding, including photographer Danielle Aquiline and Dustin from Style Matters DJ’s. We also got to work with some of our favorites including Kelly from Fleur, Ken from Poetic Productions and the fabulous Anita Vaughan from  AnitaWeds. And of course, working at W Chicago City Center is like coming home for me.

Here are some of my favorite shots from Danielle … Enjoy!

Andrea + Rob Part 2 … Simply Jessie is Simply Amazing!!

I am just so blown away by these images.  Be sure to visit Simply Jessie’s site to see more of her outstanding work and read the entire post on Andrea and Rob’s gorgeous wedding.

Andrea + Rob, Sneak Peek

We love it when we get to see wedding images just days after the event!  Andrea and Rob were married this past weekend at St. Benedict’s Parish with a reception at Fulton’s on the River. A special thank you to Jessie and Eric from Simply Jessie Photography for this beautiful blog post.  Jessie is right, this was such a fun couple to work with – so laid back and honestly just happy!  They were happy to be getting married and it showed. What a joy!!

I have included everything below but you really should check out their site, its fantastic!  This was our first time working with Simply Jessie Photography (thank you to Kelly from Fleur for introducing us!). We were just blown away! Here’s to many, many more events together!

Andrea + Rob Married! | Part 1 | St. Benedict and Fulton’s On the River

Even though Chicago decided to give us Winter instead of Spring, I haven’t enjoyed a wedding this much in quite a while. I  just completely adore Andrea & Rob.  These two just get it. They were so ready to be married.  They enjoyed their day. Sounds simple and obvious but these few elements are the key to a wonderful day and unbelievable images.  Andrea is just a joy to be around and included me as one of her gals for the day.  I am always touched when trusted to walk right into people’s lives and stories.

Andrea and Rob had an amazing team. They had a gorgeous event with stunning florals by Fleur and flawless planning by Heather at Greatest Expectations. Makeup by Andie Cumber.

This is only Part 1!!! Tomorrow will be complete with downtown Chicago,  bridges, recpetion details at Fulton’s on the River and night photography!!  Stay tuned!

The following images were shot mere seconds after they were officially married!

See our friends from Fleur in Time Out Chicago!

We love to work with Kelly Marie Uss at Fleur in Logan Square. Fleur is an adorable shop right on the square with beautiful flowers and creative gift ideas (many of which are from local designers including some items from The Third Coast Collection designed by another good friend, Kara Underwood Gordon at Magnificent Milestones … You seriously need to check these out!).

Kelly was featured in this weeks Time Out Chicago.  The article is below but you can check it out here as well.  Great job Kelly!!

On out-of-the-ordinary requests…

“Every now and then we have that one person who wants black roses. We joke and call that ‘the bouquet for your inner vampire.’ It’s a rose called Black Baccara [which Fleur carries], and it’s like a deep burgundy. We’ll throw in white ostrich feathers.”

For the fellas…
“We just started carrying adorable cross-stitches that are handmade in Logan Square. Some have a specific Valentine’s Day theme, like the word kiss or [the phrase] ‘I left my heart in Chicago.’”

Caleb Yono, store employee
On out-of-the-ordinary requests…
“This lady asked me to make a bouquet for a guy [whose house] she’d left her panty hose at. She brought a new pair of panty hose and asked me to tie the bouquet with them.”

For the fellas…
“Woodsy things like branches and hearty things like thistle or some viney things like berries. Also tropicals like orchids.”

Caitlin Kerr, store employee
On personal favorites…
“I’m into more monotone [arrangements]. You don’t want the eye to go crazy when you’re looking at something. I [like] when they’re wildflowery, like when it’s bunched together and a Ranuncula is sticking up. More organic asymmetrical. Sometimes I like smaller vases with larger arrangements. It can look like it’s floating.”

Fleur is located at 3149 W Logan Blvd (773-395-2770).

And just for fun here are two picture of the amazing work Kelly did for Amanda and Mike, the winners of the eleven eleven WEDDING this past November!!
