Rockstar Birthday Bash

I am so thrilled to show you a few sneak peak pictures from Olivia’s Rockin’ 7th Birthday Bash at FitzGerald’s Nightclub. Thank you to Samantha from Puddle Jumpers Photography for taking such stunning pictures!  There is no better way to capture a special birthday celebration!

This event was chock full of rockstar glam from the VIP Ticket Invitations and Backstage passes designed by Once Upon a Bash (and all featuring Olivia’s personalized logo!) to the killer sweets table  from Truffle Truffle featuring such delicious treats as Mini Cupcakes, Mini Woopie Pies, Double Dark Brownie Pops and Tripple Chocolate Wandering Cakes!

The crowd rocked the day away to a private performance from Ralph’s Worlds front man, Ralph Covert.  It was a truly amazing concert complete with Ralph bringing all of the kids on stage for a “Band Photo” and to sing Happy Birthday in true rockstar style.

The kids headed home with all of their Rockstar merchandise including custom bags, bottle cap necklaces, tattoos, t-shirts and a collection of Olivia’s favorite rocker chick classics along with glow stick bracelets, blow up guitars and blow up microphones.

Some of my favorite elements were the Musicians Ryder proudly proclaiming the “artists demands”, the concert posters and the parental music disclaimer (all of which are featured in the images below).  From the very first note this party was a rockin’ success and we wish Olivia a very, very happy birthday!

Royal Birthday Bash

There is something about turning five that is extra special.  It is that transformation between being a baby and a big kid.  So we thought this special occasion called for a Royal Ball!!

The invitations, done by Handmade By Pink, featured a castle in the clouds (in Orange, Purple and Red – the birthday girl’s favorite colors) and were mailed in gold mailing tubes.  All of the royal guests were asked to wear their favorite Fairy Tale attire and anticipation built for a really great party.

As the guests entered they were announced by the “Fairy Grandmother” … “Princess Olivia has arrived”

The perfect spot for this royal event was Francesca’s Fiore in Forest Park.  The staff there is amazing and waited on our tiny royals (and their parents) wonderfully.  The private room already had a rather “castle” like appeal to it and with just a few special touches it was the perfect ballroom!!

First we created “windows” that looked out onto the Royal Grounds and featured the birthday girl’s favorite princess things.  The paintings were done by local artist Sarah Lamlech.  A couple of my favorites are below.

A beautiful Throne was created out of Red Velvet and Jewels for the Princess of Honor to sit on and a King’s table was decorated with goblets, royal gifts, jewels and candles.

The little guests were entertained with a dressing room full of princess outfits, royal manicures, games, tattoos and tons of crafts!

I must say, however, the piece de resistance was the amazing castle cake!!  This cake was beautifully designed and decorated by Flour Cake and Pastry in Oak Park.  Janet and Nicole are extraordinary and really outdid themselves with this cake!  The children were enthralled with it and the birthday girl (who was even treated to a cake tasting to make it even more special. Not to mention she selected chocolate cake with fresh raspberry mousse filling, this is a five year old with excellent taste!!) was just in awe.  We almost did not want to cut into it!!

So feast your eyes on these beautiful pictures and get inspired!  I want to be five again!!
